“The Rock” located on the North Shore of Lake superior. Located near horseshoe Bay. The road leading down to it was heavily washed out and barely passable when driving a Honda Civic. I realized the convenience of a truck while I was navigating and straddling the 12 inch deep ruts . The road flattened out as I approached the fire pit and picnic table next to the shore. This location is fantastic because there is virtually no hike involved to find the location. It offers multiple angles for the Milky Way and an ideal sunrise position.
