A few sneak peeks from a surprise proposal at the Ropes Mansion! R reached out to me about booking a session as a Valentine’s Day gift for his then girlfriend with the intention of proposing during it! We met up earlier this spring and since the gardens were not in full bloom just yet, we decided to head out back to the greenhouse to start our session. After the proposal, we headed over to the Witch House where friends from all over came to join us, which was another sweet surprise for C! After wrapping up our photos at the cemetery nearby, they all made their way back to Boston for a celebratory dinner. Engagement season is here 📸
Y & A came all the way up to Salem from NJ for a quick little getaway! While up here they booked both their engagement session and a class at to make the broom they’ll be jumping over during their ceremony 🎃 we started off at the Ropes Mansion and walked through the beautiful historic side streets. From there we made our way over to the Witch House and for a few final spooky pics

A faves from Em & Sean’s pre elopement session 📸
These two wanted to keep their elopement private with just family and friends in attendance but still wanted to make sure there was time for some photos. So we spent the day before their wedding at some of their favorite places. Lynn Woods is a special place to them, being out in the woods together feels like home. Forest River park- the place they walk their dog every day, was the spot they picked for their ceremony the following day. We made sure to end the night there, and document all the same places they would be saying “I do” at.

A few faves from last weeks elopement at the Ropes Mansion! 📸 B & B came all the way up from New Jersey for what was originally a big birthday vacation and decided to turn it into a wedding as well! We started off with a beautiful (but very windy) ceremony in the gardens which included a sage ceremony, personal vows, and an exchanging of rings. Afterwards we spent some time taking photos throughout the historic district. After we went our separate ways, these two went out downtown for a lovely dinner together to celebrate! A little BTS from yesterday’s spooky session in the historic district downtown Salem! 📸 these girls came all the way up from Virginia for an extra long weekend to Salem MA for their annual girls trip. Every year they vote on a new location for their vacation. One international and one domestic. This year, Beth put Salem down for BOTH her entries and she finally got her wish 👻 we spent the evening trekking through what was left of the snow in the cemetery, and made our way over to the Ropes Mansion and Witch House after.

Had such an amazing time photographing this sweet session this past weekend for my dear friend and tattoo artist Casey at . She didn’t want to gift her cousin with just any traditional items before the baby came and thought a tattoo name reveal and maternity photo session all in one for the baby shower would be the perfect gift 📸

Had the absolute pleasure of photographing this spooky session last October for the Hawthorne Hotels Halloween Ball! Allison & Tim came all the way up from South Carolina for their fourth trip here in Salem to attend the ball. They’ve won a few prizes for their costumes before but this one really takes the cake. Allison spends months gathering pieces and putting together these spectacular costumes, even decorating outside their hotel room for other guests to enjoy. This year’s theme was a dark take on Peter Pan- where Tink lost her way to the dark side and joins Captain Hook and his crew. I had so much fun with these two, walking around the wharf and getting stopped by so many tourists who were just as happy to see these two characters as I was. We were even lucky enough to get a few photos by the water with a passing ship going by! Stay tuned for more of what I’ve been up to lately 📸
