Jumping on the yes… but… trend! Color grading, HSL, tone curves, and most importantly, calibration are your friends when it comes to harsh concert lighting! PSA, intense color isn’t a bad thing and sometimes stylistically I choose it but you need to know how to alter your colors so you don’t throw away what could be an amazing shot!

None of these color edits are AI or even photoshop, it’s all done between calibration, HSL, tone curves, and color grading

I saved this post for last, but this is where the night actually began.

The Temper Trap was officially the first band I ever professionally photographed. muse headlined the show, Bloc Party got me the photo pass, and because The Temper Trap opened the show, they became the first band I ever officially stepped into the pit to photograph!

By the end of the night, I had photographed The Temper Trap, Bloc Party, and Muse, but this set will always be the first!

Last night, I photographed my first concert ever, and that opportunity happened because Bloc Party took a chance on me.

I reached out with no concert experience and asked for an opportunity. They gave me my first photo pass, and I’m incredibly grateful to Bloc Party and their team for opening that door. I just hope this set does the opportunity justice!
