First tournament. First time playing a game together as a team for the Boys Academy . . . and by the second half these boys were COOKING 🔥⚽️

Academy Boys Team is competing at the Rogue Valley Memorial Challenge this weekend!

It was an exciting game this afternoon with a huge energy shift just before the second half when MVSC caught their stride and absolutely dominated the field the rest of the game.

There’s something incredibly humbling about witnessing the people who show up every single day to care for others during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

The Salem SEPS ED is the BUSIEST ER along the entire West coast, treating over 320 patients every single day, and over 92,000 patient visits a year. Annnd just a little more than proud of my sister who is one of the partners and serves on the state medical board.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the SEPS team at Salem Hospital for their website, communications, and marketing. Capturing their love for helping others, real connection, and the people behind the care.

The first annual was a huge success! This kind of support for local business is needed now more than ever in our hometown.

I think it’s truly remarkable the work and effort , , and are putting into creating community events and bringing more business into downtown Salem.

Having had a commercial space downtown for more than 2 years and working closely with some of the local boutiques, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to run a business in the heart of downtown.

I’m excited for next year’s event and all the opportunity it will bring to promote and drive new business in.

There are moments at events that go beyond photos… and this was one of them. 🤍

Watching children, families, and community members sit down together to write heartfelt notes to their healthcare providers was incredibly moving. Each card held gratitude, kindness, and a reminder of the quiet impact these professionals make every single day.

In a world that can feel heavy and overwhelming, this was something different, a space filled with appreciation, connection, and genuine care.

To every healthcare provider reading this:
you are seen, you are valued, and the work you do matters more than words can fully express.

And to organizations like Marion-Polk County Medical Society and who create spaces like this
~ Thank You! This is how community is built.

This is why I do what I do.

Last September, I was hired to photograph some of Salem’s most iconic landmarks.

I don’t often get the chance to photograph architecture and landscapes, so being able to slow down, explore the city, and get creative with light, lines, and history felt really special.

I grew up in Salem. These buildings, bridges, and streets hold so much story. Photographing them reminded me why I love documenting place and time, not just people.

I feel grateful for creative opportunities like this one, and for the reminder to see my own city with fresh eyes. 💛
