PSA: my Instagram () was hacked. Fortunately I was able to get the account back and secure it. If you got spam from me, please ignore. And if you get a follow (or re-follow?) request from me, it also is legitimate.

Unfortunately said hacker also ended up unfollowing/blocking a bunch of folks (TIL blocking apparently makes both accounts unfollow each other). Apologies for any nuisance or confusion this may have caused. And also that absolutely there were no personal motives behind anything.

Update those security settings on EVERYTHING. No matter how annoying 2FA or backup codes may be.
