(Two sisters brought their children to me for a belated school portrait last week, and this is the message I received that evening.)

Sidenote: School portraits are rarely fun and not usually flattering… unless you come to MY studio! Is this something you’d be interested in if I scheduled them for a few weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings in the fall? Because I want every kid (and especially tween girl) to feel like this!

I posted over at Jen Seay Seniors in May about this idea floating around in my head, to bring new grads together with all their friends before everyone goes their separate ways.

It didn’t gain much traction over there, but importantly, it did inspire my friend Shelly to contact me!

Her daughter Grace brought her friends Makenna and Mariska for photos downtown this evening, and we started at one of the newest murals downtown, then stopped at 3rd Friday!

Lots more preschool & kindergarten & first grade "grads" are coming to visit this weekend, and I have a few openings left Saturday morning.

I'll let Ivy (class of 2038! 😵‍💫) show you how much fun a 5-minute session is. Oh, and I got new gowns in black & white, too!
