HELLOOOO everyone it’s me Kayla ✨✨ your favorite Maryland photographer!!

I figured it would be good time to reintroduce myself on here since it’s been a hot second since I’ve done one of these. A lot has happened since my last post about myself.

If you didn’t already know, I have moved back to the eastern shore of Maryland. I’ve been here for about a year now, and man is my life completely different from what it was when I first got here.

I left Seattle near the end of 2024, and I still think about the people there and that place everyday. I promise, I will be back :)

5 months ago my entire life got flipped upside down. I didn’t have any intentions of discussing this on here, but I’ve felt so close to my followers for so long now I figured I owed an explanation for my lack of posting my photography.

I went through a break up, that was unexpected and I had to take time off from photos to heal. I spent the last 5 months losing weight and trying to focus on becoming me again.

Throughout this journey with photography I have always had moments where I thought “why am I even doing this” and any time I had feelings like that I always had a friendly hand on my shoulder saying “because you’re great”

And I have to just thank every one of you for always pushing me, and picking me up when I was down. Without the endless support from y’all I wouldn’t still be taking photos. Thank you all for always believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. The lifelong friendships I have made through this job have truly been such a blessing in my life and I am so very thankful to be where I’m at today.

J&C preview

What an incredible weekend I spent running around Florence Oregon with two of the most special people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Accompanied by their two families who were equally just as amazing. A weekend full of pure love. Watching two families come together as one in such a breath taking ceremony will be etched in my memory forever.
