It's the holiday season! 🎄 Which means we need to figure out what we are getting everybody, right? If your family is anything like mine, it's hard to get a wish list out of the adults. Parents and Grandparents can be especially hard because what do you get the people who already have anything the need? Well, lean in close, because I happen to know exactly what they want.

They want pictures of their Grandkids!!! Are you really surprised by this answer? Probably not, because I bet they have already mentioned something similar to you at some point in the last few years. But, we forget about it, and don't have any nice pictures to give them. Maybe they just get the standard yearly headshot from school photos. This fall marked 5 years of taking family portraits with this adorable family. I love getting to capture how much the little ones grow every year! Seeing how their adventurous personalities have evolved is the best part though. This year L taught me all about octopus, and H told me that she likes Seahorses. It was so cute!

We took an end of summer trip so the kiddo could visit Grandma and Grandpa before school starts! I'm not above using bribery to get my child to agree to photos. So, after our mini portrait session with Grandma, we went to the malasada stand down the road. Happy kid, happy mom, happy grandma!

Photographer Child Syndrome is a real problem in my house. My own son will forever be my most difficult client 😆
I tried for one nice photo while I was taking snapshots on our family vacation. This is the only image I got where he isn't making a face at the camera. The fact that it is a real smile is a miracle. But you know how I got that smile? I asked him if he could push his hair out of his face. This smile was caught just a second before he tilted his head down and shook all his hair forward to fully cover his face (except for a very smug smile peeking out). 🤦‍♀️
