'Wild Alaskan Waters'

Our second day in Alaska was spent on the water cruising around Resurrection Bay. We spotted Orcas in the open water, heading that direction the waves began to swell, rocking the boat quite vigorously. I ventured to the front of the boat to photograph this small island swarming with sea birds. Like a scene from a movie, It took all I had to balance and take the shot. Simply breathtaking.

We only experience reality through light and shadow and our augmented reality through ones and zeros. These polar opposites aligned in the millions of scenarios create what we perceive as present time. Digital photography bridges the gaps between the physical world and the computational one we have created, indulged and shared. Photons transform into 1's and 0's... this is data that can be changed and altered to re create a moment in time through the eyes and mind of the creator. Our computational life and real life is blurring together more and more, and I for one plan on embracing and expounding that beauty into images never before perceived.
