Why I don't do mini sessions.

What this photo isn't:
Flat light or poorly timed light.
Color chaos.
Over-edited colors.
Subject blends into the scene.
Inconsistent color grading.
18 years of learning and improving. I didn't just pick up a nice camera at my local big box store.
Here we have:
I controlled the color palette upfront.
I used light for shape, not just exposure.
I balanced vibrancy without going fake.
I created separation on multiple levels.
I kept skin tones priority #1.
I made the environment support the subject instead of being the subject.
My sessions with you take time, thought, collaboration. They are not rushed through to get an "acceptable" file. I find that my clients expect more from me than a 20 minute excuse for a cheap photo.

This is Meredith, and we planned her senior portrait session right when the cherry blossoms around the Utah State Capitol were in bloom. For a few short weeks every spring, these trees turn the Capitol grounds into one of the most beautiful portrait locations in Utah.

The blossoms create soft light, dreamy backgrounds, and a look that just feels like celebrating a milestone moment. Meredith’s natural smile and relaxed style fit perfectly with the spring setting.
