406.32 MPH. HYDROGEN. BONNEVILLE. HISTORY. 💨⚡️
Some days you photograph history.
Some days you’re standing on the Bonneville Salt Flats when it happens.
We were honored to be the media team capturing this extraordinary moment for Jo Bamford, one of the leading voices in the global hydrogen economy, and the Bamford family as JCB Hydromax shattered the hydrogen land-speed record at Bonneville.
🏁 406.320 mph average
🔥 412.135 mph fastest run
⚙️ 1,600 bhp from twin JCB hydrogen combustion engines
💧 Zero CO₂ at the tailpipe — water is the exhaust
Driven by legendary Wing Commander Andy Green OBE, the same man who piloted JCB Dieselmax to its 350.092 mph diesel record at Bonneville 20 years ago.
This wasn’t just about going fast.
It was a statement about what hydrogen technology can do — and a glimpse at where clean energy and heavy industry can go next.
For us, it was an incredible privilege to document the people, engineering, pressure, speed and sheer audacity behind the moment.
History was made at Bonneville. We were there to capture it.
