Really super amazed by the whole process of winemaking- especially when done using traditional methods like . Guided by nature, it feels like equal parts leap of faith and trust in a methodical, time-honored process. It’s a little bit art and a little bit science. I was super excited to be back on the Mountaintop this year to feel the energy and excitement of harvest. ❤️

I had to go back and count, but I think this was my fifth year photographing this sweet crew. Getting to photograph a family year after year is one of my absolute favorite parts of the job, and I sure will miss these guys as they head off for new adventures in another state!

I’ve been a little bit MIA on here this spring. In April I started a new full time job. I’m working on figuring out how to juggle all the things I have going on, but I am loving this new pace of life. Plus, working everyday with the small but mighty all women (and all moms!) Sophie James Wine team is pretty dreamy. I will be booking super limited photo sessions for the remainder of this year though, so please reach out if you’d like to grab a spot.

I’m home and working to wrap up 2021 and prepare for the new year. I started reading Atomic Habits by James Clear while I was on vacation and am putting some thought into “pandemic proof” habits and goals. Time to settle in to this new normal and make the best of it. Ready for you, 2022 🎉
