The lens that now lives in my bag (when I carry a bag 🤷🏻‍♂️)

When you get it right you get it right! But these are the few things to look out for.

I’ll make a post and share some images here shortly.

More to come.

Issue 001 — Momentum

Training rarely asks for perfection.

It asks for consistency.

For Sammie, progress isn’t measured on race day. It’s built through hundreds of quiet repetitions that, over time, become confidence.

“People think they’re going to wake up with tremendous self-confidence, but it’s proof that you’ve stacked over time that you’re the person you say you are.” — Sammie

Issue 001 of an ongoing series exploring the people, routines, and stories behind the work.

Ruins

These would be considered my “Postcard” images. A phrase I have heard often during my photography journey, and not in the most positive sense. Often referred to as such as images that you should avoid, the images everyone takes. But I have come to learn that everyone doesn’t mean me! I want to have these photos and it’s ok, if they are “typical” or “common”, the thing is I took them, I was there.

All that to say, I have always taken these images; mostly for myself but they can’t just live in the storage dives. It’s time to bring to life (at least until I print them).

I love traveling this globe.

The streets of Athens

So much history and what a beautiful city, just the right amount of grit and grace.

Just the little moments in between. Some are the first shots to get going others are the in-between moments.

Great to be able to sit down and look thru archives.

What do you do with the images that don’t make the “Gram”?

Odyssey

Greece is full of history and the Odyssey on the big screen has me reliving my trip last year.

Here are some images I haven’t shared yet.

A wide angle lens is your best friend if you book that trip.

So much to see on this blue marble we live on.

Who’s been?

Why was this developed? I am not sure what this would really do, how much of a difference it makes, or why would you even use it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ll put it thru the paces and get back to you.

Let me know if you would use it.

Instead start checking out some books

This set of books is super interesting, they are old (reprinted in 1975) but still have some real gems in them.

Time Life- Life Library of Photography. Worth checking out. If you want me to do a deeper dive into the books let me know.

Peru 🇵🇪

“My country is beautiful” that’s the first words out of my moms mouth if you ever meet her. Followed by you should come visit, come to my house. No lie my mom would invite everyone to Peru and offer to be their tour guide.

My dad shared childhood stories, mostly how his mom would sew elbow patches on all his sweaters and how his shoes had holes in them. I think a subtle way of letting me know how good I had it.

I have loved Peru thru their eyes and thru faint memories as a child now it’s time to reconnect.

The llama 🦙 was super cute.
