There is little that can explain the intersections of my passions like this image.

Over the last 15 years, my work has combined my love of motherhood, nature, and advocacy. Here, The Mobile Midwife, Jenna, waits for her third baby (whose birth I am also schedule to photograph.)

We were blessed with a fully in bloom flower field through our mutual connection, at The Wild Farm SATX. It is an urban farm West of downtown San Antonio focusing on empowering women and LGBTQIA+ community in urban agriculture.

I'm grateful every day for the projects that find me.

It’s that time of year when I start wanting the greens and blues and purples of spring 🩵

For the few weeks of chilly crisp growth that South Texas gets. For the days when 400ProH was readily available.

I used to travel every quarter to Houston, DFW, and Austin for family sessions. Gas and airlines are more expensive now, but the importance of photographing the beautiful and mundane seems worth its weight in gold. So maybe I should be more open to the travel.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to all that’s waiting ahead of me this year.

Being in circles of women post divorce, this is a version of a story I’ve heard over and over again.
The names change, the towns, the kids, but overall, the theme of “deny, confuse, and escape accountability” rise again and again and again.

Being an evangelical radicalized me to know and love the truth, and I know so many believers with that same passion who are letting the overwhelm of today’s political climate coerce them into abandoning their neighbors who need them.
