Senior portrait season is here.

And no two sessions on our calendar look quite the same.

One has us wandering through a record store. Another has us heading out into the Texas landscape.

That’s the fun of senior portraits. The location doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. It should feel like you.

We’re currently photographing the Class of 2027, and we’ve been getting more senior inquiries as fall approaches.

There was always going to be one more.

Life In Nature began as a series of five paintings created for Art With A Heart. Each looked at a different part of the journey through life.

But from the beginning, I knew the series would have a sixth and final painting.

This one was created especially for the ABC of Southwest Texas Gala on September 26, where it will be offered in the live auction.

Like most of my paintings, it began simply: a blank canvas, a drawing, and an idea of where I wanted it to go.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll share some of the journey from those first lines to the finished painting.

We’re proud to partner with the San Antonio Humane Society for their August Pet Portrait Give-Back! 🐾
