This past weekend felt like summer here in Southern California - so sunny and warm😌☀️ And, daylight savings finally means longer, brighter evenings are here to stay!!! Can you tell I’m excited?!

I really enjoyed photographing Maddie and Ryan’s wedding at the Santa Barbara Courthouse with its historic, Spanish architecture. I got to play around with angles, lighting, and movement - the beauty of this landmark really lended to timeless, romantic portraits to look back on for years to come❤️

Had to showcase Maddie and Austin’s details because they had so many unique and thoughtful touches throughout their day - starting with that seating chart of any music lovers dreams😍 Maddie is also a teacher and had the cutest little decor pieces that her students helped with. Another highlight was a table with wedding photos of family members that have come before them🥹 All in all, the rustic orange and pampas touches really tied this fall wedding together while keeping the charm of this Southern California venue🧡🌴

I can’t begin to express how incredibly special and what an honor it was to capture maternity photos for Jordan and Isaac. Thank you!! Getting invited to be a part of celebrating your couples’ next milestones beyond their weddings is something that honestly just gives me so much joy. We had a fun time setting up for Maddie and Justin’s first look because I mean look at this beautiful spot! I love seeing how each couple’s day works out perfect for them. My wife and I did a first look; I’m so glad we did too because our wedding day was one of the hottest that summer and only the bridal suite had air conditioning at our venue so the whole bridal party hung out in there together before our ceremony. My wife also didn’t want to miss out on socializing with our guests at the cocktail party. On the other hand, I’ve seen my couples wait to see each other until the bride walks down the aisle. Some have chosen to do first touches, read letters, pray, and/or do private vows. Whatever route you choose, both are memorable and special🤍

But no seriously, I love how every family can run with the same location and add their twist through coordinated outfits, bringing their pup, or simply by just being themselves as a family. Thank you for letting me share in these special moments with you! My wife and I love hanging up the Christmas cards we receive during the season❤️
