is this really life? that’s the question.

a couple months ago I had a friend near and dear to my heart say Amanda it’s go time — I need you, I want to marry her. He sent me his ideas, we made a plan and through the whole process he captured moments. He captured the moment of booking me while on FaceTime with her. He kept everything super low key so she would never know. When she started to sniff things out he told me & that’s when I knew what I needed to do!! I posted a story saying I was out of state because I know my bestie girl watches all my stories and she knew if I wasn’t there, what she thought was going to happen wasn’t happening.

Well 3am came along & I woke up excited, emotional and I cried before I left. I met Alexander Taylor & Mary Elizabeth in 2024 when I did there military ball pictures. I told them that day that their souls were meant for one another. From then on we were stuck like glue, when Mary came to San Diego we would shoot and they would let me freely create — no matter what that looked like. We built a beautiful friend that carried all the way to this moment. The moment when Mary thought I was in OR and she was in Catalina. The moment where Alex dropped down on one knee and she didn’t realize she had more than one surprise that day. She got proposed to and her favorite photographer was there to capture it. When she realized it was me her first words were.. you’re supposed to be in the redwoods you liar 😂 it was truly a dream come true for all of us. Two people that I hold near and dear to my heart trusted me capturing this once in a life time moment for them. It was a dream for them and for me.

so here is the vlog of the day, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. The gratitude that hit me during this trip left me in tears. I’m beyond thankful for every single one of you that have trusted me to capture a moment in your life. I am grateful to be allowed to create art freely in a world that’s full of what you should be doing.

there’s no better way to celebrate your birthday than a giant party AND your own editorial birthday shoot! Your wife goes honey let’s go big or go home this year. Not only do you have an epic place to throw your party, you have amazing food, a dj, a tattoo artist, event coverage and an opportunity for you and all your guests to have your own photoshoot! Now V wanted it all to be editorial- so I brought the energy, the vibes and vogue worthy photos. Whether it was portraits, families, couples, besties — you stepped on that backdrop and instantly were transported into your own personal fashion photoshoot. What a way to celebrate someone you love & create memories.

yes it’s easy to look on Pinterest to gather ideas of what you’d like. we all want the pathetically pleasing photos. it’s the in between the moments that we tend to miss either due to distraction, backs turned or the fact that life just moves so fast. It’s when someone has a moment to capture the moments you didn’t even know were happenings. You can feel the laughter, the love, the exploration. that’s the beautiful thing about having a photographer that allows life to unfold, there’s no pressure; there’s guidance and then I allow whatever happens to happen next. We don’t do traditional family photos here. I give you moments you can be transported back to🫶🏻

sometimes it’s not about the photos..

sometimes it’s not about the photos, it’s about the moments happening during the session. The runny noses, tears, the laughter, the breathes you have to take, the prayers you say, the composure you try to keep, the hugs you give, the connection your littles need. It’s not about being aesthetically pleasing it’s about being authentically present. During my time with this beautiful family it was filled with meltdowns, laughter, tears, & a craving for some lovin. And mama was present and we laughed through it. I was there to help and support. I’ve known these two little nuggets since they were babies. So the moment Jordan and I looked at one another we knew it was going to be a photoshoot filled with a lot of emotion and a lot of love. That’s truly what should be captured. The raw moments that test you as a parent but grow your heart, love and connection as a family. It’s the moments where you laugh so hard cause you scared your photographer and she almost threw her camera (twas the best scare let me say). It’s the moments of me holding one baby while photographing mama and the other. It’s the moments where both truly just wanted to snuggle mom and pull her hair. But we left through it and found beauty within the chaos and we made it intentional.

Parenthood is not easy and it’s not perfect. It’s raw. It’s challenging. And it’s one of the most beautiful things that you can do in the world.

What a way to celebrate your birthday! I tell everyone that entering a new decade is entering a new era of yourself. I believe that your a child until your 20, your 20s are your new teens and 30 is truly where adulthood starts. You are not old, it is not scary — you are just entering a room that you have the key to. All the wisdom, lessons learned and a new person within the mirror. So why not bring your dream session to life. A mix between beauty & bold. She is truly a real life princess. How jaw droppingly stunning she is, the way the sun just makes her glow more than she already does.

regular scheduled program paused for passionnnn🚙

I have a little secret.. don’t judge and please keep it. I am obsessed with vintage cars. There’s something about them that’s so mesmerizing. Now this is coming from the girl that calls speeding going VROOM VROOM FAST 🏎️💨 and the one who knows least about cars. Bring me to a car show and watch my eyes glow.

a friend of mine reached out and asked if I wanted to photograph something out of my realm (I’ve never done a car shoot like this before) and of course I said I’m up for the challenge cause isn’t that what art is about?! Allowing yourself to create in a space you’re unfamiliar and show the world what you see. Well I said yes and spend the day at the Del Mar fairgrounds photographing this beauty.

Now the story behind this beaut: this car literally saved a man’s life — as kids we get into trouble and things happen, ya know life as a child. Well this car, this passion project was the one thing that got this person through. It was restored to the original condition with characteristics you don’t normally see. This was an old farms truck turned into this beauty- all new interior, restored to original base, all metal frame work, stunning body work & color that changes in all types of light & a little secret compartment!!

I had such a blast shooting this vehicle and it broadened my horizons into what I find passion in. So please enjoy all the little details and the beauty of this car because this car had my jaw to the ground.

the feminine urge to play & be free✨

in a world where we are framed through social media on what we should look like, eat and even buy. where women are both masculine and feminine. in a world where more divinity is needed. more play is needed. sisterhood is essential. being given space and permission to let go and just be. how amazing is that? truly.. think about me. think about putting on your favorite song and just letting everything go as you frolick through the tide as it comes in and the last light leaves. you exhale. you smile. you let all that energy and stuff you’re carrying go — you hand it over to be held up while you take a moment to just be. you giggle & remember how amazing it is to just be. to play.
