it all started with them..

I love extended family sessions, they really have my heart. You see where it all started, the top of the family tree & all the branches that connect because two people fell in love, chose one another and created life together. What a beautiful thing. Now years down the line their kids are grown up, have spouses of their own and the two who started it all are now grandparents. They get to experience their kids being parents and now their grandkids experiencing life & they get to have fun all over again. Life is truly about who you spend it with. Extended family sessions are so much fun because you get to see everyone’s personalities, there’s no hiding anything and it’s memories being made together.

Our session was filled with laughter, tears, snacks, playfulness & a whole lot of running around. In the end we got a whole bunch of silliness & beautiful photographs that will be cherished for a lifetime💗

it’s the season.. 💍

jumping fish & beautiful sunsets couldn’t get Kaitlyn’s I keep her eyes off the love of her life. As I hid behind cars waiting for the moment — a biker came out and saw what was going on and I asked her if she could take my phone and ask them if she could take a picture of them with the sunset. She was so excited to be apart of this moment. This gave Ryan the perfect way to get down on one knee and ask for Kaitlyn’s hand in marriage. As tears filled the eyes of everyone around — the sunset wasn’t the most beautiful thing happening on the beach. Their joy filled the entire beach I swear. Kaitlyns smile could not leave her face. These two were both mind blown as this was super last minute and such a grand surprise. We ended our night running around the beach, me getting the wiggles because they are truly so freaking cute, a lot of love and laughter.

this was the third proposal I had in a 2.5 hour period! It was such an amazing night filled with so much love between my couple on Coronado, a stranger running after me to capture another quick surprise proposal and then this beautiful couple down in mission bay. I wouldn’t want it any other way❤️

with every swipe I want you to take in the day. the frames frozen forever to be cherished. the laughter echoing. the breathes taken as they stand in front of one another & pledge their lives to eachother. friends & family all around with tears welled up in there eyes. the sweet look in her eyes & the smitten smile on his face. the slightest touch that reminds you of home. the watch frozen with the time you said I do. the jokes that shall come from the moments where nervousness crept in but looking at one another you found peace & everything become quiet.

take the moment. lean into what is in front of you. from the outside looking in, witnessing so many love stories — they all stick with you. whether it’s a giant wedding or an intimate elopement. all so beautiful, divine & uniquely there own. no two stories are the same. C&Vs story is a love story of tenderness, love & unspoken words that they only know. with glances given, light touches, laughter & quirkiness. so move slowly & feel as they did during one of the most magical days in their lives. As friends and family wrapped arms around them, shared giggles, got in on the fun but importantly witnessed a beautiful matrimony. what an honor.

the grandest surprise is one not suspected, where true emotion comes through at the shock of something new❤️

months of planning, scheming for this one moment.
many phone calls, infoing family & friends, crating the perfect plan. just so he could see her face light as & they could experience such a surreal moment in life.

Alex reached out to me three months before proposing and we sat on the phone many of times, planning & prepping for this moment. Really fine tuning the details so Izzy would not know what was coming. We had the perfect set up, place where family could hide and see & the perfect spot that will now be forever special to these two. Asking someone to be yours for the rest of your lives is one grand question, we all know this. Many think it’s just for her when it is truly for both of you. It’s a moment and a day filled with so many emotions. Anxiety, happiness, nerves, uncertainties, love, questions, care and pure joy. I got to witness Alex profess his love for Izzy who thought she was watching a movie on the Bach and when she saw the proposal, had no clue it was for her. As her best friend cried behind her, her family and friends waiting away, Alexa friends coming hours early to prep for this moment. He got down on one knee, professed his love & Izzy said yes and went through a rollercoatser of emotions & then she saw them. Her entire family ran across the beach to congratulate her & there was soon to be another surprise. Alex flew out some of her closest friends to witness this moment. Not only did Izzy say yes but everyone she loved and cared for got to be apart of it. They all had a hand in this moment. One neither one of them will forget. With a lot of tears & many laughs these two got some time with me where they allowed themselves to be weird, have fun & sink into the fact that now they are fiancés. The ring is stunning, Izzy is stunning and their love is unmatched. Many years together and many more to go. Congratulations to the newly engaged couple. I can not wait to follow you through this chapter 💍

the newborn snuggles. the smell. the sleepless nights & early mornings. the many diapers & moments that you go untouched. watching your oldest babies love on your new littles and finding so much love in them. as a parent your heart just grows with every little & add in watching your oldest ma become siblings. it’s truly melting in the best way. to all the details. new journey through parenthood. the giggles. the gentleness & more. welcome home little beans.

it’s one thing to start a family but to continue to build it is another. To watch as your last moments with your first slip away & to watch your slip becomes a sibling — it’s a beautiful journey and transition. To fall in love as they grow, to see your partner become a parent again & to life just feeling so complete.

Life is magical. I met Marc & Sav as a couple and they quickly became friends and family to me. I have seen them through many moons — as partners, friends, through the birth of their first child & now becoming parents again to their second. To grow and build moments and memories that will last a lifetime. This is my why. To meet on the beach, catch the waves, watch them as parents and see how much their daughter has grown as Sav’s getting ready to become a mama again. There’s something about it that’s breathtaking. To be entrusted not once, not twice but through many years and moments to be captured, cherished and passed down❤️ some of the last moments as a family of three before soon becoming a family of four. We will never forget the waves, the beautiful sunset, the squeals of sheer excitement & getting soaked within the first 5 seconds of being on this beautiful beach. We’ll never forget the perfect beauty of her belly, the last moments of just mommy and daughter & the fun giggles that came along with it all. Life leaves us with a lot of beauty and joy — things end and new chapters begin🩵
