This is insecurity, not perfect perfectionism!
So there was a time where I was pretty active on social, but then it just stopped. I stopped posting, stopped sharing, and just kind of went ghost on everything.
For a long time, I have struggled with trying to make things look perfect, and that is the oldest excuse in the book!
as a creative, I’ve used the excuse that I wanted it to be perfect, but really it’s a deeper insecurity of what I’m creating. The constant consumption of other people’s content, even when you are good at what you do, you compare and then you say“it’s just not good enough yet”
That’s just a lie that we tell ourselves, but we have to learn how to get over that and push through it. The voice that I had is still gonna be there, we’re still gonna struggle, we’re still gonna doubt if what we make is good enough, but people really don’t care about that voice, they care about us. They care about our style, they care about our expertise, they care about our art. So yeah, that’s kind of it.
Yeah, this one is really a message to myself.
I think we all know that perfection is a myth, but
