Most people realize too late they were never in the photos.

This was a legacy session for a senior dog named Moxie. Her mom wanted to honor her with more than photos… something that would last. A way to hold onto the quiet, everyday moments that end up meaning everything. Since her session, Moxie has passed. And now, those images carry even more weight. Dog Mom’s Day is next weekend, and I opened up a few spots for it.

For my San Diego dog moms… these are shorter sessions, about 30 minutes, and we’ll keep it focused on you and your dog together.

It includes five 8x10 fine art prints, with the matching digitals so you have both. You’ll choose your images after your session at your design appointment. And if you fall in love with more, you can always select additional images and create more artwork for your home.

Everything is still designed the same way I always do it, with the intention of creating something you can actually live with in your home.

I hear this a lot from people after the fact… they wish they had done photos with their dog sooner. Not because they didn’t care, just because they thought there would be more time or a better moment to do it. But there really isn’t a perfect time. Every stage matters, even the one you’re in right now that feels normal and everyday.

When people look back, it’s not about having perfect photos. It’s the little things they miss… the way their dog looked at them, the expressions, the personality that felt so familiar at the time.

That’s what I try to capture. Something that actually feels like them and something you don’t just scroll past, but get to keep and live with.

If you’ve been thinking about doing this with your dog, it’s probably for a reason.

There’s something really special about getting to see so many different dogs come through the studio… every personality, every little expression, every way they look at their person 🐾

This is a small look at some of the dogs (and a few cats) I’ve had the chance to photograph here in San Diego. Playful ones, shy ones, older souls, brand new puppies… all of them with their own story.

The studio is private and appointment-only, which means everything moves at your dog’s pace. We keep it calm, simple, and focused on them so their personality actually comes through in the photos. Most of what I create ends up as artwork in people’s homes… framed pieces on the wall, albums on coffee tables, things you get to see every day instead of just scrolling past.
