It was freezing. The wind was wild. The ocean was not inviting.

The nurse who delivered our baby… held her again months later.

And then this happened. The sweetest moment.

The nurse who helped deliver our baby got to hold her again — this time on a cold San Diego beach at sunset.

Watching Miriam hold Sofia felt surreal. Months ago, she was the calm voice in the operating room during one of the most overwhelming nights of our lives. Now she was barefoot in the sand, laughing, wrapped in golden light.

Photographing her and Eric wasn’t just another session. It carried history. Gratitude. Depth.

Sometimes our clients find us in the most unexpected ways.

Mirium was our nurse the night Sofia was born.

It was an emergency C-section. Everything felt overwhelming and fragile. I remember sobbing before the spinal, terrified and exhausted — and she was there. Calm. Steady. Kind in a way that felt grounding.

In one of the most vulnerable moments of our lives, she held space for us with such gentleness.

We didn’t know then that months later, we’d be photographing her love story.

Life has a way of weaving the most unexpected connections.

After becoming a mother, I wasn’t sure my creativity would come back.

The past year has been incredibly beautiful — but also one of the hardest. For a while, my creativity grew quiet. I couldn’t quite reach it, nor did I have the energy to —

One of my biggest fears was losing myself, because creativity has always been woven into who I am.

This styled shoot was the first time I felt that deeper creative spark fully return — the freedom to explore, to experiment, and to create something unique, something beautiful, something that felt entirely new.

And that feeling… I will never take for granted

We were invited to create, style, and photograph the first styled shoot celebrating the unveiling of the Liberty Station Chapel, with the intention of honoring its history while looking ahead to what’s next.

With an eye toward 2026 wedding design, we leaned into ideas and techniques that feel editorial yet timeless — showing that historic spaces don’t need to feel frozen in time. They can evolve by adding tradition + contemporary design and thoughtful imagery.
