George in Boston💚
The Boston Public Garden to be exact! On a very unexpectedly rainy evening in June☔️
I met George T. Dane’s mama at a dog photography conference a few years ago and we stayed connected on instagram. When I announced I was going to Boston and had availability for sessions, she reached out booked! We planned to shoot at the Boston Public Garden, as it’s a very iconic location with beautiful backdrops.
The weather looked a bit dicey the day of our photoshoot and we went back and forth about changing what time to meet, but finally settled on 6 pm based on the weather forecast. We arrived at 6 and the sun was out, sunny skies, and we both said how happy we were we didn’t cancel because the weather was perfect!
Well…not even 10 minutes later, the storm clouds rolled in and a downpour began. We thought it might last a few minutes, but instead, it went on for 40 minutes! I was not prepared at all for rain, but luckily George’s mom brought an umbrella and small towel. We hid out under a tree waiting out the rain, and that meant I had to get creative with shooting! Janet and George were such good sports and George didn’t mind the rain one bit!
This made for a very memorable session and unique photos that we probably never would have gotten otherwise, as the Garden was nearly empty the whole time we were there.
This session was so much fun, and a little bit of a challenge, which made it even more memorable!
