Spring Equinox… A new beginning and a hope

Metamorphosis

Yesterday I was broken
I was broken again and yet again
I stared at the slammed door
That slammed again and again
And yet again
Today I lift my eyes
From the tears that flowed
Curled up and aching in longing
I raise my wilted body from the ashes
of what could have been
I turn towards a brilliant warm glow
That gently cradles
My shivering tired heart
I see a new door
the Infinite has opened.
I peer through to the expansive sky
The new moon hangs in a twilight palette
of indigo blues and swirling pink
lingering sunset brilliance
Something flutters
in the depths of my soul
I take a deep awakening breath
I feel the warmth of a thousand suns
I feel the pull of lunar light
Hope springs wings
Heart takes flight
Once again
I choose to believe
I step out into the cosmic night
I dance
Under brilliant shimmering stars
For I know I am not alone
Infinite light and love
Surrounds me.
