We officially moved from San Diego to Penticton, BC. 🇨🇦🍁

I still have so many sessions from San Diego that I never shared, and this is one of my favorites.

I love this family, this location, all of it!

San Diego gave me incredible families to photograph over the years, and I’m going to miss them.

But this is exactly the kind of work I’m excited to keep creating here in Penticton.

Families being themselves, forgetting that I’m even there and beautiful Okanagan backdrops.

The scenery may look a little different these days, but my approach will always stays the same. AKA bring your dogs!!

A little life update:

In a couple of weeks, Shane and I are packing up our lives and our little tan pawfia and moving to the Okanagan in British Columbia, Canada.

Before we go, I just wanted to say thank you.

To everyone who trusted me with your families, your weddings, your babies, your engagements, and of course, your dogs ~ thank you! It has been such a privilege to be invited into so many special moments.

People think photographers spend all day taking pictures, but the reality is we spend a lot of time sitting alone editing. Getting to spend time with all of you was honestly the best part of my job. Watching your kids grow up, catching up year after year, and meeting every grandparent and dog that came along made this job so much more than just taking photos.

I'm going to miss you all more than I expected.

If you ever find yourselves in the Okanagan, PLEASE come say hi. There will definitely be coffee, three tiny demanding dogs, and if you're lucky, maybe a loaf of homemade bread that actually turned out.

Thank you for supporting this little business of mine. I couldn't have asked for better people to spend the last several years with. ❤️

May we never outgrow this kind of joy. ✨

Lately I’ve been reading the book, Happier by Tal Ben-Shahar, and one thought keeps coming back to me. Happiness isn’t somewhere we’re trying to get to. It’s something we choose to practice, a skill we hone. Photographing kids is a beautiful reminder of that.
