Looking for a way to make a difference? For the next week, any donation you make to the Resident Canine Therapy Program at Rady Children's Health - San Diego will be doubled!

Donations will help fund certified therapy dogs that are specially trained for hospital settings and become part of children's treatment plans. They help ease children’s fear of medical procedures by making them feel like play, helping these young patients thrive throughout their treatment and recovery.

On a personal note, I provide the photos for each dog's official ID tag, and it's probably no surprise that these dogs are the absolute sweetest souls. I'm so grateful to meet each of them, and they have SUCH an important job. I hope you'll consider supporting them & the kids they love.

I'm resharing this post - because the company just told me they want to feature 2 more dog breeds in this project! So now we're also looking for a GOLDEN RETRIEVER and a YORKIE. Please send an email with 2-3 photos of your dog to [email protected] if you have an adult purebred golden retriever or yorkie, and if you're available on October 5, 6 or 7 for a photo shoot in Rancho Bernardo! Thank you!

(Sorry, no puppies or senior dogs this time, only fully-grown adult dogs. And the yorkie doesn't need to know the "hold" command, but ideally the golden retriever would.)

Photo sessions with terminal dogs are never easy. But they sure can be beautiful. 🥲

This is Mala with her pup Duke. I still think about how special this session was for the two of them (and me too really), even though it’s been a couple of years. Duke was such a good boy. ❤️
