The Pads are back home and locals’ summer is officially underway! 🙌

Labor Day weekend around the corner, September baseball at Petco, and the Yankees are in town as the Padres keep pushing to lock down a Wild Card spot.

Best time of year in San Diego🌴⚾️🔥

All eyes on El Niño 👑

Two home runs and a robbed grand slam! Yet another night adds to the legend of Fernando Tatis Jr.🙌🔥

But you don’t have to look all the way to New York to see his impact.

Walk around Petco Park any night, and you’ll see it everywhere… jerseys, signs, kids wearing 23, and a whole generation of Padres fans growing up watching one of the most electric players in baseball.

San Diego has its superstar!!

TARPS OFF // SAN DIEGO

What started as a group of college baseball players sitting in the right-field seats at Busch Stadium in May has quietly grown into one of the most unexpected fan movements to sweep through Major League Baseball.

They call it “Tarps Off”

The concept is simple and unmistakable: shirts come off, go over the head, and soon an entire section is moving in unison.

It all began with members of the Stephen F. Austin club baseball team at a Cardinals game on May 15. Within days, the scene started appearing in other ballparks and stadiums across the country, each time slightly bigger, louder, and just as spontaneous.

Fast forward a couple of months, and it has made its way to Petco Park.

Part rally, part spectacle, but all just baseball fans embracing the moment right in front of them!

LFG tarps off San Diego!🤎💛

Looking good, feeling good San Diego! 🤎💛

The Pads opened the series against the Brewers with a beautiful win last night, and Petco decided to put on a show of its own🌅

This team is heating up right along with the August sky, and Jackson Merrill has now gone deep in three straight games🔥🔥🔥Tonight they get another test with Jacob Misiorowski on the mound, one of the hottest arms in baseball!

We’re pretty damn fortunate with the baseball we get to watch in San Diego right now. Some of the best players in the game are coming through Petco, and we’ve got plenty of them wearing brown and gold too. I still don’t understand how anyone walks for the exits when Mason Miller is about to take the mound😂

Summer baseball in San Diego is pretty damn good right now. 🤙

Well, that was a pretty good weekend at Petco🙌

The Padres handled business this weekend, bouncing back from Friday’s loss to take the next two and the series from Houston. Four home runs on Sunday wasn’t a bad way to send the Astros out of town either!

No break in the schedule though. The Brewers roll into San Diego tonight at 74–44 and playing some damn good baseball. The Padres have been finding a rhythm of their own lately, so this should be a fun three games at Petco.

Hot team. Home field. Let’s see what we’ve got!!💪

San Diego FC vs Tijuana Xolos ⚽

A matchup that feels closer to home than most!

Sunday night brought together two clubs separated by an international border, yet connected by a region where fútbol has been part of the culture for generations.

Long before kickoff, that connection was already evident around Snapdragon Stadium. SDFC and Xolos supporters crossed paths at the tailgates, flags and colors from both clubs filled the crowds, and traditional matchday rituals carried on with a bit more significance.

Inside, the energy carried into the stands as San Diego and Tijuana fans backed their teams through 90 minutes of Leagues Cup fútbol!

SDFC ultimately secured a 1-0 victory, but the scenes surrounding the match told a larger story about the fútbol culture thriving on both sides of the border and continuing to develop here in San Diego.

Happy Friday, D***o! 🔥🤙

The boys are back home after splitting four with snakes 🐍 in Arizona!

Tonight kicks off another weekend at Petco with Friday at the Park and a new series against the Astros 🗑️. With 46 games left, every series carries a little more weight as the Wild Card race tightens. We’ll also get our first look at Robbie Ray in a Padres uniform after AJ Preller’s busy trade deadline!

Looking forward to another weekend at Petco with the Friar Faithful🤙

There’s something fun about pointing the truck north with a camera in the passenger seat and seeing where baseball takes you!

Yesterday, it was a hot drive to Lake Elsinore, where the midday sun had everyone searching for shade, and two familiar Padres arms were back on the mound.

For Joe Musgrove, it was another step in a long road back after nearly two years away from a big league mound. Nick Pivetta continued his own rehab assignment with an unusual result that still needs some explanation, while across the field, Dodgers starter Blake Glasnow was also making his return. For a random Tuesday afternoon in Single-A, there was no shortage of star power.

But as much as the pitchers drew the headlines, I found myself watching everything else. Kids lined the rail for autographs. Thunder made the rounds. Fans got drenched by the bucket dump just to beat the heat. It’s a reminder that baseball feels the same no matter the level.

Big league names. Small ballpark. Triple-digit temperatures🌡️🔥!!

Just another summer afternoon with a camera in hand!🤙
