I do this pose in almost every session. Keeping Baby’s lower half wrapped and taking out just her arms helps to keep her settled. I then hide all the untidy wrap away under the matching wrap and pull it tight across her body. This pose works well when Baby is awake too. I often get good eye contact like this. It also allows parents to be involved by adding in just their hands.

So sweet! 🤍 Just a reminder to those interested in Newborn Sessions. It’s best to contact me at the start of your 3rd trimester. Booking is easy. We schedule your session 1 week after your official due date and then adjust as needed when Baby arrives. I only reserve a certain number of Newborn Sessions a month to ensure flexibility of doing your session at the correct time. Newborn sessions are most successful in the first 2 weeks after birth, but if you lagged a little or needed that extra time, please reach out - we can still achieve a beautiful gallery with babies who are a little older.
