A Nature-Immersed Hindu–Western Fusion Wedding at Monserate Winery
The couple first met professionally, working together before ever dating. What began as a creative partnership slowly evolved into something deeper, rooted in shared values and mutual interests. They began dating during the early months of the pandemic in 2020 and spent five years building a life together before marrying. Their proposal reflected the intimacy that defines their relationship. With only their dogs present, Tayton proposed during a quiet trip to Bend, Oregon, at Smith Rock overlooking the Crooked River.
The moment was peaceful, personal, and intentionally private, a memory they chose to keep just for themselves. In the days leading up to the wedding, the couple honored tradition through a series of pre-wedding celebrations, including haldi, henna, and grah shanti ceremonies. The bride traveled to India to source her outfits and authentic décor, and during one ceremony she wore her mother’s gold jewelry, adding a deeply personal layer to the celebrations. For their wedding day, the couple envisioned an experience immersed in nature while still feeling warm and elegant. Monserate Winery’s Villa De Fiore offered the privacy and intimacy they were seeking, seamlessly accommodating their Hindu–Western fusion ceremony.
Despite gentle rain, the couple chose to host the ceremony outdoors, embracing the moment fully as clear umbrellas added a romantic, organic softness to the day. Fashion played a central role throughout, blending heritage with personal expression, including subtle Western elements like cowboy boots, resulting in a celebration that felt timeless, intentional, and deeply personal.
