Some photographers title their images. If I were to title this image, it would be “One can only dream.”
Isn’t it interesting where an image can take you? For me, looking at this shot I’m instantly thinking about daydreams. Wondering what was hers? Visualizing and reflecting on my own.
Daydreams are something people don’t discuss much. The ones that provoke your deepest fantasies or that longing for who we see ourselves as, or what we hope to be, or even better yet deeper evolutions of what we have already become. Small movie clips we create in our minds with such vivid details. Creating these scenes where life is at its best. Some as simple as praise or magical family moments, others with imaginative details of lust or romance. Obviously some daydreams can be dangerous, especially if you live in them to long or let the immoral ones guide you into reality. As for those harmless daydreams, the beautiful creative journeys that we let or mind take from time to time, my hope is to keep experiencing those. Let your imagination run wild! Why not? If we’re lucky maybe they’ll help to keep our thoughts happy and youthful.
So wow, all of that provoked by one image. This is by far what I love most about the art of photography.
