Top nine of 2019...

It’s been quite a year with some high highs and low lows, and through it all could not be more thankful for my amazing friends, loving family, and phenomenal clients

I feel like I have grown so much this past year and am so incredibly humbled by the individuals, couples, and families that gave me the opportunity to capture them. Being in front of the lens is such a vulnerable and intimate thing, and I am so honored and grateful that you trusted me to freeze the beauty of this fleeting moment in time in your life, be it an engagement, wedding, pregnancy, new baby, growing family, or blooming business.

So thankful for mentors who have invested in me, helped me grow, and encouraged & cheered me on. ,
, and Locke Photography - you ladies are phenomenal and am so thankful for the time spent with each of you this year!

Have loved slowly building relationships and community with other photographers locally and around the world on this little app, and hope to continue to do so in 2020. Not sure what the next year (or decade) has in store for me, but can’t wait to find out! Wishing you all a very happy, healthy New Year! 🎉🥂

Congratulations to these two on their growing family! 👶 So happy for them as they welcomed their first child, Skylar Rian to the world last week! 🎉 So much love! 💗 Can’t wait time meet her!

These lovebirds are getting married in just two weeks & realized since they kept their engagement under wraps for awhile I never posted the fun from that day! rented a helicopter from & charted a special flight plan to fly over all the important places to them in San Diego before proposing to . Despite Jamie being quite sick (we later found out she had mono), 😔 we went ahead with the plan as luckily she really wanted some new content for her blog & so I pretended like we were going to to do a styled shoot where unbeknownst to her, Mike would be waiting with a rose (a nod to Jamie’s favorite ). 🌹 It was a little touch & go getting her out the door in time without raising flags as poor thing was really under the weather, but it was all worth it when she finally saw his face (I included a clip from a BTS video I shot in my lap to catch her reaction). After proposing during the flight, Mike still had some more tricks up his sleeve as he convinced her they should drive by the beach but otherwise have a quiet afternoon & wait to see family until the next day, which Jamie later admitted she was a bit disappointed about. Low & behold everyone was waiting at Torrey Pines. Unfortunately the trails where they had planned to surprise her were closed due to the rain, but it ended up working out perfect as the spot everyone ended up hiding was actually a spot where he had joked he wasn’t marrying her a few years earlier when people thought they were doing an engagement shoot with me. It was so sweet to see her reaction when she saw everyone & to see the mamas run down the beach to meet them. Mike’s last big surprise was to ask to see the ring (she assumed he wanted to go show his mom), but instead he officially got down on one knee (hard to do in a helicopter) 🚁😂 & proposed again, making his commitment to her in front of both their families. There was not a dry eye to be found, including from onlookers. Neither rain nor mono could stop this from being the perfect day. Loved doing their engagement photos last spring, & am so excited for them as they get ready to say I do in two short weeks! @ Montgomery Field Airport
