the connection was immediate with sophia and rob. the way they prioritize fun over everything, the way they love each other and their people so deeply, the way san diego is the canvas of their childhoods, love story, and future. I don’t work in san diego as often as you would think, so getting to be in this place, with this couple, just hit me in the feels in so many ways. oh and we’re neighbors so that’s fun.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing a baraat before, let me be the first to tell you it is joyful, electric and absolutely pops off.

Nikhil made an iconic entrance, pulling up in a Rolls Royce before joining his family and friends in the streets. The music was loud, the energy contagious, and everyone danced through the midday heat like nothing else mattered.

Day to night in Palm Springs, designed by the incredibly talented sesarorozco || Floral Event Studio ||

One of my favorite details from their tablescape was the place cards. Peyton, a beloved veterinarian in the Palm Springs area, used Polaroids of each of her furry patients as place cards for their guests. It was such an intentional touch that made an already beautiful day feel even more personal.

Laura and Isaac flew out their family from Mexico City to celebrate their wedding at the iconic Leila in San Diego.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of dining at Leila, it’s a one of a kind experience. Dining under the night sky, you are instantly transported somewhere else.

Photographing the first wedding reception here was such a welcome creative endeavor. When thinking about how to capture the feeling of the space, it only felt right to let the gorgeous ambient light do its thing until it was time to party.

These two were so much fun to work with, and I can’t wait to share more from their ceremony and the rest of their day.

For the love of bougainvillea (and Peyton and Tucker, of course.) This multiple day wedding in Palm Springs was full of so much intention. Both Palm Springs locals, their day was full of so much intentional homages to their community and the spots that are most special to them.

Beginning the day at the stunning The Willows. As someone who has spent a lot of time in Palm Springs, I never knew this treasure of a hotel existed. Tucked right against the canyon, and covered in bougainvillea and trees- it was the perfect way to start the morning.
