Time of Day for Real Estate Photos⏰

If you’ve never thought about the time of day when scheduling photos inside a home you’ve listed, we’re here to tell you there’s a better way!!

Some houses may change based on location and the surrounding environment, but in general, indoor photos of homes are best taken in mid day when the sun in highest! When the sun is directly overtop of the house, there are no harsh shadows streaming in through the windows creating a seamless, clean look! 🪟

For outdoor photos, you’re generally pretty safe within the two hour window before sunset. This creates even lighting on the outside of the house so that the color isn’t blown out by the sunshine. It also creates a gorgeous ambiance that will attract buyers! 🙌

Meet the Sherr’s!👋

We’re Hayes and Bree, a husband & wife photo & video team in San Diego, California. After working together to document special couples’ wedding days, we grew to realize that we also love capturing homes together! We know that when someone is looking for a house, great imagery is a huge part of the selling process, so we aim to provide clean images, films, and drone footage. Plus, you have lots on your mind when selling your house, so having a team that provides both photo + video AND works well together is a huge plus in our book👫 Deep breath, friend! We’ve got you!

Beyond our jobs, we both enjoy watching sunsets and grabbing dinner at 264 Fresco or Cloak and Petal (our very favorite restaurants)🍽 Hayes is big on golfing and fishing, while Bree is usually cooking or baking a new recipe! (Our friends are huge fans of chocolate chip cookies and mocha cinnamon rolls)🍪 Our days end with cuddles on the couch and a long movie (50/50 chance on which one of us will fall asleep🤪).
