jaden came to visit from michigan and we did not have any shooting planned before she came but upon her arrival, she vaguely mentioned maybe wanting to pose if i was into it (which of course i was!). i ran with the idea and we planned a whole cutie little session based around this pretty dress she thrifted and by her second day here we got to shooting!! her trip here was so fun and i got to play tour guide of san diego for a couple of days and i just love that role. it's always such a great feeling when my friends want to step in front of my lens and try out modeling.

this was my second time working with horses for a shoot and it was so much fun. it definitely requires some patience and going with the flow but having amazing models to work with really helps and we got some fantastic photos. it was so cute watching the horses understand the assignment and watching my subject interact with the horses. it was such a happy time and i was smiling huge all day!

sometimes the simplest ideas make for the coolest portraits - i have had this roll of plastic for ages waiting to use or for a shoot like this and have used it for a million other things in the meantime and finally got to taking portraits with it the other day. becka was an amazing model to work with and i can't wait for more creative sessions like this!
