Natalie Chiles Photography She/Her/Hers
I am a photographer focused on headshots, families, grads, branding & more! Color. Fun. Play. Relax. FUN. Relaxing and letting things happen is my jam.

I want to make having your portrait taken a FUN event in your life, whether you need senior portraits, a fresh headshot, or you're a 3-year-old in preschool. My background is in music education, which translates really well to working with kids of all ages. I miss teaching at times, but owning my own business and having the benefit of being my own boss has been a game changer for me. I love that I can continue to work with children through my school portrait work, and still get to be a grown up with high school seniors and headshot clients. Photography is not a dying art. It's just a changing art. I'd love to help you be part of the story.

Jacob is heading to UC Santa Cruz after graduating from Patrick Henry! UCSD's Geisel Library and the Eucalyptus Grove were excellent choices for a grad session. I love the contrast of the architecture of the library and the nature-vibes of the grove. Best of luck to you, Jacob! Thanks for tolerating all of my instructions for smiles and almost-smiles. πŸ˜‰πŸ₯°

Owen's session is proof that you don't *have* to have bright sunshine for a gorgeous session. Santa Cruz Cliffs and the Presidio provided two excellent, quintessentially-San-Diego spots for his grad session, and the sun did eventually peek out. I loved so many parts of this session, but most of all it was Owen's willingness to climb into giant boulders and dangle his legs off of cliffs. ☺️ Congrats to Owen and his parents! πŸŽ“πŸ₯°

I met Jessalyn when she was just a little toddler, when her mom and I sung in the same choir together at church. Four years ago we did her high school grad photos, and it was so fun to see her again and see how much she has changed. Jessalyn definitely kept busy at UCSD, and I'm so excited to hear where her path leads next. She is so intelligent and kind, and I know she'll succeed at whatever she puts her mind to! Congrats, Jessalyn! πŸ”±πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ”±πŸŽ“πŸ₯³

Chris graduated this spring from Mater Dei Catholic High School, and chose is school just before we had his session. Chris is another grad I've known for a very long time- this year was so special in that regard, even if it does make me feel a bit old. Or a lot old. πŸ˜‰ Chris is going to make his parents offical empty-nesters, too, so I'm excited for them as well! We chose Santa Cruz Cliffs for his session and it did not disappoint with the wave crashes and gorgeous weather. Congrats, Chris! Loyola Marymount is lucky to have you! πŸŽ“πŸ₯³πŸ₯°

Camryn was in her elementary school era when I first photographed her, and I've known her family for even longer. This lovely lady is headed to SDSU this fall and I know she'll make her family proud. We had a wonderful session at Marston House in Balboa Park- still an all-time favorite spot! They have made several improvements to the grounds and it's just a delight to be there. Hugs to you, sweet Camryn! πŸŽ“πŸ–€β€οΈπŸ–€β€οΈπŸ–€β€οΈπŸ–€πŸŽ“

I've known Nate his entire life, and it was so special to have this session to celebrate. Nate is headed to OSU (Oregon, not Ohio) this fall, and I know he's going to love the land of green year round, outdoor activities galore and all that college has to offer. Hugs, Nate! 😍 πŸ₯° πŸŽ“ πŸ–€πŸ§‘πŸ–€πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Ash is heading to the land of "pop" and actually having four seasons. Having her beach session was very reflective- I am sure she will miss her west coast peeps, but that Michigan life is calling and she's going to blow us all away (feel free to consider that a Hamilton reference). Congrats, Ash! Loved this session! πŸ₯°πŸŽ“πŸ₯³

Oh, Taylor. I don’t know if you realize what an amazing effect you’ve had on my world. I’ve known your family since before your parents’ epic SpongeBob wedding, where I brought a baby Nico in a stroller. You are easy to be with, a true human chameleon that can adapt to any situation, and truly a delight to photograph. I am thankful for your trust- this was such a fun session. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that not many seniors ask to include their brother in their session- you will be missed next fall, of that I am certain. UC Davis is lucky to have you. Congrats, grad! πŸŽ“πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰

🌊Karni and her parents joined me on a beautiful San Diego afternoon to document her approaching graduation. It was a beautiful day at the pier, and we were also lucky to have a low tide for some beautiful reflection shots. Karni was very prepared and organized for this session, and it made it super fun to just play around with different spots and outfits- so much fun! Congrats to you, Karni, for all of your hard work and the fun in your future! I loved working with you! πŸŒ…
