I had the incredible opportunity to photograph this amazing couple at La Chinesca, a place that’s truly close to my heart. 🏮✨

It’s in my hometown, Mexicali, where I grew up surrounded by this rich Chinese culture 🥡 Being back there, capturing these moments, was so special and full of meaning.

And this couple!!! they were just incredible. They had so much chemistry, they were beautiful, and so full of life—it was truly a dream to capture them in this place 🥠❤️

Great photos are rarely about being “photogenic.” 📸

Most of the couples you see in my portfolio told me the same thing before their session:
“I’m awkward in photos.”

The truth is, great photos usually come down to a few key things:

• Direction. 🎥You don’t need to know how to pose — that’s my job. I guide you through everything so you never feel awkward.

• Light. 💡The right light can completely transform a photo, which is why photographers carefully choose timing and location.

• Small adjustments. 😗Moving your hand, shifting your weight, or turning slightly toward the light can make a huge difference.

• Feeling comfortable. 🫶🏻The best photos happen when you stop thinking about the camera and just enjoy the moment.

That’s when the magic actually happens ✨

these are the 4 things I tried and actually worked:

1️⃣ Leave extra time after getting ready
Make sure you leave enough space between finishing hair & makeup and walking down the aisle. I was ready early and that gave us time for photos with my bridesmaids, my mom, a first look with my dad, and even a few quiet moments by myself. It also helped the photo and video team a lot. They’re the ones running all day, so that extra time makes a huge difference for everyone.

2️⃣ Hire a wedding coordinator
A thousand times yes. If you’re already investing in your wedding, it’s worth setting aside budget for a coordinator. That way you, your cousin, your sister, or your mother-in-law aren’t the ones running around managing a big event instead of enjoying the day.

3️⃣ Do a photo rush
Have the bride and groom sit in the middle of the dance floor while a song plays. Each table comes up quickly to take a photo with you. It’s fast, organized, and you end up getting photos with everyone without it taking forever.

4️⃣ Let go and let God
God loves weddings. He created marriage as a sacred union, and He’s just as joyful about your day as you are. Don’t spend your wedding worrying about how the tablecloths look. Let go, trust Him, and be present. Weddings go by much faster than you think, and you only get one day like this.

✨ Save this if you’re planning your wedding.

Shout out to the media team who did such and incredible job🥹💛 will never be over it.
