Real talk: pricing pages can feel like a maze, so I wrote up exactly what a dog photo session actually costs. No vague "contact for pricing," just real numbers, and a little on why I moved away from fixed packages a while back.

Wondering what dog photography costs in the Bay Area? Feral & Fab sessions start around $645, here's exactly what that includes and why.

Caution: this blogpost might get blurry.
Which is ok, these sessions tend to come with a whole mix of emotions, happy tears, sad tears, and usually a lot of laughing at the ridiculous little things that make each dog who they are.

Because celebration-of-life sessions aren’t just about saying goodbye. They’re about beach trips, favorite snacks, goofy habits, and all the wonderfully weird things you never want to forget.

I rewrote my guide with stories from some of the amazing dogs I’ve photographed over the years. If you’ve ever wondered what these sessions are actually like, I hope it helps. ❤️

Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of loving a dog. These sessions hold warmth, real connection, and yes, even fun, celebrating your best friend exactly as they are. End of life and celebration of life pet photography across the Bay Area.

From the Presidio, we made our way over to another San Francisco classic, Alamo Square Park (after the traditional SF ritual of circling the block a minimum of four times for parking). By this point everyone was fully caffeinated on golden light and good vibes and it showed 😍.

This is exactly the kind of moment I chase during a San Francisco dog photography session, real laughs, not posed ones. Lucky, Nelson, and Angela were an absolute joy.

If your dog isn't the 'loves everyone immediately' type, this one's for you 🤍. New blog post on how I actually work with shy, reactive, and sensitive dogs. No forcing it, no rushing, no pretending every dog falls for me on sight. My own dog Molly is living proof that's not how it works, and that's ok!

Looking for a dog photographer who actually understands anxious or reactive dogs? I'm Silke, serving San Francisco and the East Bay, and I work with shy, distrustful, and selective dogs all the time, no forced poses, no rushing, just patience and treats. Here's exactly what a session looks like when...

Meet Lucky. It was 6am at Tunnel Top Park in the Presidio of San Francisco. Her frosty little face was somehow already glowing while I hadn't even had my coffee yet (iykyk..)

This part of the shoot might have featured a certain beautiful golden (red) icon, but more on that later 👀

Every dog session has its cast of characters.
Washburn’s role was “sweet gentleman with a little bit of mischief..”
The calm counterpart to Zoe’s beach zoomies, but don’t let the serious face fool you… there’s always a little chaos hiding in there.

Zoe pretending she didn’t just zoom around the beach like an absolute gremlin for 10 minutes 😆

Which, honestly, gave us some of the best photos of the day.

Bay Area dog photography for dogs who refuse to sit still.
