This is Camino Tassajara. When I moved to my parents after college, this image was so hard to realize because at the time the drones didn’t exist. The DJI Mavic didn’t exist and I was scared to use the Inspire 1 RAW because of how gigantic it is (it’s also a class D fly zone, which is already risky).

I constantly thought, “How can I capture the spirit of Camino Tassajara without trespassing or insulting my neighbors.” When the smaller drones finally came out, the dream finally became real and this is what the finalized image looks like.



PS. This is my everyday drive.

I think one of the great things about photography is that it's a gift that keeps on giving. A photo can say a thousand words; not just about a place or a person, but about even the smallest details of how someone thinks and feels.
As I'm on my road-trip, many people are interested in my imagery. It's always a blast to see what someone thinks about the images in my ever-growing portfolio, and this photo of Smith Rock definitely takes the cake.
