The Harvey Milk Photography Center has the largest public darkroom in the United States and has been a cornerstone of arts programming in the community since the 1940s. We offer a wide variety of intimate weekly classes, Saturday workshops, and orientations in both film and digital photography for all skill levels. Additionally, we offer memberships that include full use of our darkroom, film proc

essing areas, and state-of-the-art digital lab, along with the opportunity for members to showcase their work in four exhibits per year.

The work is on the walls — now meet the people who made it!

We’re hosting two casual drop-in conversations for exhibitors in this year’s Member, Staff & Volunteer Show to share a little about their work. No presentations, no pressure — just five minutes each, a room full of people who get it, and good conversation.

Join us on Wednesday, September 9 from 6–7:30pm or Saturday, September 19 from 2–3:30pm. Come to one or both.

Free and open to the public.

Last Friday we celebrated the opening of our annual Member Staff and Volunteer Show! Thanks for the many (over 400!) of you that came out and spent the evening with us. We’re so grateful to be of service to the passionate photography community here in San Francisco.
