These colors are not adjusted...this was the actual color of the sky in San Fransisco and across the Bay Area today. Smoke from the surrounding fires (from as far away as Oregon and the Sierras) darkened then landscapes and covered cars with ash.

Excited to finally get to shoot with Peter
Smoke from the Woodward fire continues to roll in to the area. Enjoyed some nice views, landscape photography, sunset, hiking, and even some friendly wildlife encounters. A good time!

"Welcome to the Beach!" - Elephant Seals took over a local beach at Point Reyes National Seashore during the recent government shut down. Since there are newborn pups the beach is closed to the public for regular use until the mothers and pups leave on their own. The beach is currently open to the public on weekends under the supervision of rangers and docents. The area where the seals are currently inhabiting is cordoned off, but you can still get quite close to them. It's a neat opportunity to get up close to some pretty wild animals.
