I drove a long way to get away from the city's hustle and everyday worries. I wished the sun had peeked a bit more through the clouds. The coastal flowers were a mix of colors, and I loved how they blended with the hills in the background.

On a day as cloudy as today, there isn't much to see along the California coast. I had hoped to catch some sunset clouds... The Bixby Creek Bridge was still visible from my vantage point, but the rest was fading into the mist.

There were dark clouds hanging in the sky and the last sunshine didn’t make it much through them. After taking the picture I wasn’t able to see any color contrast, so I decided to make it monochrome and fine art.

By Observing moving and dynamic objects for a long, you can paint almost a perfect picture of the object with each detail and colors. This long exposure gave me only a smooth surface but covered all the roughness, colors, and textures of the ricks while water was flowing.

The sand on the beach of “South Padre Island” at the Gulf of Mexico in Texas is so hot in summer, that you cant walk barefoot even 5-10ft. And the way from parking lot to the water is long and can get awful without shoes. You will think you can cool down your feet in the water, but no. The temperature of the water itself is 86 degrees and above …

Lovers Point Beach is a very nice and romantic place with many different angles and corners for loving couples. It has a history of being a Methodist retreat camp. Original name in late 1800s was “Lovers of Jesus Point”.
