Le Noir Photography San Francisco-based photographer
Specialize on portrait and sport event My passion for photography started at a very young age.

Fascinated by my father’s prized vintage camera and the images in my sister’s fashion magazines, I began trying to reproduce and capture everything I was seeing. I was amazed by those western TV commercials and the big billboards. Later on, I started to document family reunions, sporting events and cultural festivals with my sister’s Canon PowerShot camera. I was pretty satisfied and excited with

the results. As a self-taught photographer I’m constantly finding innovative and creative ways to capture light, composition, and subjects. After moving to San Francisco in 2018, the beauty of this old city brought out and elevated my love for capturing people, structures and landscapes. My goal is to travel the world and capture more beauty through my view finder.

Grooving
Life is flowing nicely and I really can’t complain. I’ve been feeling increasingly fortunate to capture and freeze these moments, especially as I dive deeper into old street photography and start grasping the philosophy behind photojournalism.
What kind of street photography or photojournalism eras have you been exploring lately?

Still figuring out black and white, but between my massive collection of photo books and actually getting out there, it’s starting to click. I’m really digging what I’m capturing so far
accidental motion blur and all
and there’s just so much story coming through in each shot.

Been sitting on these flicks since Friday. Honestly, I don’t find enough time to live on Insta like I used to, which is honestly a great thing—but it’s never too late to share. Pokémon weekend was incredible. I only know ‘pika pika’ and that’s all I need to know 🤣

So Hear me out! 😅 I picked up the Fujifilm X-E4 to save money with film processing.
Coming from full-frame, getting used to the compact size, lens options was definitely a learning curve. I started with the 27mm pancake, but after doing some digging, I fell in love with the specs of the 18mm f/1.4—though it’s a bit rare and pricey right now.
So, I grabbed a used 16mm f/2.8 (24mm full-frame equivalent). Check out the results! I’m honestly loving it, even if having to get right up close to my subjects can be a bit challenging at times.
That said… I’m still super curious about that 18mm f/1.4. If anyone has one laying around and feels like letting me test it out, hit my DMs! 📸: FUJIFILM X/GFX USA

Slowly getting back into 35mm. It took me a minute to realize what I missed most about shooting film—that tactile shutter sound is definitely high on the list. Plus, taking a full month to finish one roll instead of burning through it in an hour feels pretty refreshing.

Just picked up a roll of CineStill 800T and I’m looking to shoot. Anyone down for a dusk walk downtown? Feeling inspired.

Saturday photowalk extended.
Needed to go at fireside in the Marina. A perfect excuse to stop in Chinatown for a quick stroll around. Got the chance to be a little more comfortable with my xe4 and all this new recipes I have been trying to understand. I personally think I can do a better job with my framing and get little closer to my subject. Let me which is your fave

Yesterday was our monthly photowalk meetup, and it was a blast! We ventured through the South Bay, capturing a blend of classic architecture and modern lines. The lighting couldn’t have been better for popping off a few portraits of our amazing participants.
I’m so excited about where this community is heading—we’re getting close to our 2-year anniversary and have so much more in store!
Huge thanks to Sara Diamond for being such an incredible co-host, friend, and believer in Baïdi Kamagate. And thank you to everyone who came out—the regulars, the new faces, and those who cheered us on from afar.
Follow and tag us! We’d love to feature your shots soon. 📸✨

Hopefully I appreciated those moments in the near future, just moments along the way
