We’re always running and on the move. Chasing after that next thing. Whether it’s scrambling to catch our train or hustling to get that promotion, the rat race of life feels never ending.
The truth is, I feel like I haven’t had a moment to slow down in months. Between the stress of my 9-5 and the constant pressure to continue to produce content on a near-daily basis, a new constant has appeared: Bags under my eyes and a strange familiarity with that zombie feeling of exhaustion that you see in new parents.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving every second of it. But I sure could use a nap. @ San Francisco, California

San Francisco has a wealth of “classic” photo locations, but I was recently asked if I get bored shooting the same places over and over. Maybe one day the answer will slip closer towards “yes,” but for now, searching for new perspectives, turning the camera different directions, and enjoying these places with new friends who push me creatively... this is what it’s all about.
Shoutout to for being a world class hand model and the group photo.
Shoutout to for capturing the elusive “banger dance” @ Golden Gate Bridge

Happy 4th, y’all! Enjoy the BBQs, beers, and sunshine!

Of all the places I’ve been in the world, Iceland remains at the top of the list. Spending the week with incredible people lead by and , the unreal landscapes, connections made with our little Iceland crew, and braving the elements of one of the most rugged places on the planet... these are memories that will last forever.
Where is your favorite place you’ve ever visited?

The fog wave: A bucket shot I’ve always hoped to capture. Last weekend at the .shooters meetup I had the chance to meet some of the raddest creatives in The Bay and we were able to make this bucket shot a reality.

Constraints drive creativity and any time there is some sort of creative challenge issued, I try to do my best to take it on. So when my homie issued the challenge to Re-Edit one of your old shots, I knew it was a great opportunity to visit a photo that was once my favorite. Crazy how new techniques and new styles can bring new life to something old.

One of the most important aspects of taking your photography to the next level is planning. Researching your locations, driving routes, time of day... all are crucial for getting shots that go from good to great.
I’ve recently started taking this a step further with the app—planning out the specific location and time that the sun will hit a location (such as this small opening at Window Arch in Arches National park).
This is not a sponsored post or anything, I just really love the app and know it has helped me get shots like this one.

Jumpin into the weekend like...
But in real life, I’m almost 30 now... and my ankle still hurts from the poor life choice that was jumping across this little canyon.

Stop chasing after the pot of gold and enjoy the damn rainbow. We set goals for “I’ll be happy when” and we convince ourselves that we need what others have, but so often we fail to realize that the we are already living a dope and magical existence.
Let’s enjoy this sh*t while we are still here!

After a few years away, it’s so great to be back home in The Bay. Re-exploring the old stomping grounds with a fresh new perspective and no longer taking views like this for granted... it’s hard to beat!
