A beautiful night celebrating the spirit, soul, and community that continues to keep this music alive. ❤️⚡️💀

The other night at the Brooklyn Bowl with Mason’s Children, friends old and new, and a special screening of SUMMER TOUR— the documentary directed by Mischa Richter and co-produced by Chloë Sevigny, both of whom were in the house sharing the experience with the community that inspired it.

What always stays with me most at gatherings like this is the people — the Deadheads. The lifers, the dancers, the storytellers, the beautiful souls carrying the torch generation after generation. More than a band, more than concerts… it’s a culture built on connection, kindness, freedom, music, and shared moments that somehow still feel magical every single time.

Grateful to document these scenes and the faces that make this world what it is.

I didn’t know it then… but this would be my last Grateful Dead show.

Back then, many of us thought it might all end here. Instead, the music and the community kept evolving in ways we never could’ve imagined.

Jerry Garcia Band at Roseland Ballroom in NYC.
They opened with a blazing “Rhapsody In Red” and it only got better from there.

Packed house, NYC summer heat 😅 mashed up against the stage right in front of Jerry... wouldn’t have traded it for anything.

Shot on film with my trusty Minolta SRT101. Still one of my favorite Jerry nights.

Had a blast a couple of weeks ago at the Haight Street Art Center with Gina Schock from the Go-Go's and Real Martha Reeves, joined by Otto & Astrid and For Horses. 🎶💥

Martha performed her signature hits “Heat Wave” and “Dancing in the Street,” while Gina had the crowd rocking to “We Got the Beat” and more. Astrid & Otto, the satirical musical-comedy duo from Berlin, brought their wonderfully bizarre cabaret energy, while For Horses delivered their self-described “SF bitch rock” with full force and attitude.

To top it off, Lester Chambers and legendary psychedelic artist Stanley Mouse were also in the house soaking it all in, making the night feel even more special. ❤️🔥

Matt Quinn solo show

I went in not knowing much about Matt or Mt. Joy, and I came away really digging the music and the vibe. Even cooler, Andy Logan of Grateful Guitars Foundation brought down two of Jerry Garcia’s guitars and Bobby's Blackknife for Matt — a professed Deadhead — to play during the show. Pretty special moment to witness.
