San Gabriel, Calif.

My neighbors house in silhouette. I over saturated a sunset sky color & increased contrast. The roof line peaked my interest, highlighted by that symbolic roof top antenna of this 1926 Sears and Roebuck house. My interpretation of that roof top antenna was how we recieved our news, entertainment and information back in the 1950's. I call this photo "I love Lucy." It's a statement of a simpler time when we raced home Monday nights, there with family, neighbors and friends laughing together!

East Pasadena, CA

I recently got a Godox LSD60 lighting tent for a focus stacking photo of a bee I found lying in my yard. That led to me grabbing some of my crystals with various objects, and this photo of a Chevron amethyst on a matcha whisk is a fav of mine from the still life session. This was taken with my Canon EOS 80D and EF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens.

Pasadena, California

Car washes, ground water reflections are abundant! This was done late in the afternoon when the warmth of ambient light was multi colorful. I found several photo opportunities, in this image a random individual happened by, their dark reflection blocked the reflective colors but it actually added to the surreal imagery.

I'm 74 years. At my age I don't go out shooting like when I was young. My photography occurs now when I take my wife to the market and wait for her in the car. The eye of the artist, within the limitations can drive creativity! My photo opportunities are out of the driver side window, looking down or up... I was fortunate to see this image of a cloud and a silhouette of a tree. The cloud formation was perfect. The silhouette of the tree gave the two visual elements married into one dream like emotion. I hope you enjoy it.

My yard in East Pasadena, CA

I recently wanted to finally get a macro lens, but being on a budget made options limited. So, I went to Samy's Camera Pasadena to check options, and sure enough, they had a good deal on a used Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact-Macro lens for my EOS 80D camera. I then wanted the Canon Extension Tube EF25 II to make it a 1:1 magnification, which thanks to KEH Camera, I found a used one for a good deal too. The day the EF25 II arrived, I went out to my garden and noticed a fly savoring a succulent flower, so it wasn't bothered by me being close to get this photo!
