wow… i’m grateful my most recent beach post reached so many (with a surge of followers and inquiries as well). however, not everything that comes with visibility aligns with what i stand for.
along with that came a flood of really unkind comments, many from women, which honestly feels disheartening. it’s 2026, and instead of supporting one another, there’s still this instinct to tear each other down. somewhere along the way, the simple idea of “if you don’t have anything kind to say, don’t say it at all” got lost.
for clarity, hateful comments or anything negative is absolutely not tolerated over here. as quickly as i delete them, more seem to roll in as this post continues to reach new people. i’ll always protect this space and the families who trust me to share their moments.
what matters most to me is this: my returning client absolutely loved her photos. these images captured her second son turning one, a milestone that means everything to her family. this meaning will always outweigh the noise of negativity. that’s the purpose behind what i do, and that will always matter more than opinions from people who weren’t part of that moment.
to those writing negative things, i send you love and hope you find healing from whatever shaped this behavior and makes you feel it’s acceptable. the way we speak to others says a lot more about us than it ever does about them. i’ll continue creating, celebrating my clients, and pouring into the families who trust me with their memories.
