I caught this moment right as ‘s was preparing for a jump start. What drew me in wasn’t just her intense focus, but the uniqueness of her routine—straining the field dirt through her fingers to find her footing and center herself before taking off.
As a photographer, capturing that tactile connection between the athlete and the field is pure magic. It’s a split-second reminder that the biggest jumps require the deepest grounding.

WVC Softball is hosting an Advanced Skills Camp in collaboration with San Jose State University. This camp will take place at Viking Field, June 17th from 9am - 1pm.

This camp is designed for athletes in grades 10-12, Junior College and Transfer Portal Athletes looking to develop their skills in a competitive collegiate training environment. This camp focuses on player development, confidence building, and advanced softball instruction.

Participants will receive instruction from collegiate coaches and athletes through:

- Skill Work
- Drills
- Position Training
- Live Gameplay

Campers will gain valuable insight into collegiate softball while improving their fundamentals, athletic performance, and overall understanding of the game in a positive, competitive, and high-energy atmosphere.

This camp is ideal for advanced athletes who are serious about continuing to grow their skills, compete at a higher level, and prepare for high school varsity and collegiate softball opportunities.
