How do you get cute, genuine, memorable, and straight-up gorgeous family photos?

Because here’s the thing—no one (not even you, beautiful parent) can smile on command and feel natural in the first 5 minutes. We all need a little warm-up, a little play, a little time to forget there’s a camera around.

That’s where the good stuff lives.

Untimed sessions mean we’re not racing the clock. We take breaks. We let the moments unfold—and I just happen to be there with my camera when they do.

Although, let it be known… in this session, Grandma came in ready for her close-up. Total pro. Everyone else was still warming up and she was out here giving "ready for the camera!"

You know what’s underrated?

The weird little phrases your kid says that make zero sense but somehow become legendary in your family lore. Like when mine once said, “We’re doing the honor-cycle,” and we all just… lost it. Total nonsense. 10/10 memory.

That’s the kind of stuff I want to bottle up for you. Not just the smiling-at-the-camera moments, but the goofy in-betweens. The inside jokes. The snotty giggles. The realness.

And that’s why all my sessions are untimed. Because the good stuff doesn’t happen on a schedule. We roll with snack breaks, tantrums, snuggles, and all the spontaneous joy that unfolds when no one’s watching the clock.

Plot twist: I used to be her boss... and now she’s mine.

Because clearly, I was such a cool boss that .a.te.lyn decided to trust me with the task of capturing her love story (no pressure, right?).

We wandered through the redwoods, got a little lost in the most romantic way, and made some absolute magic. Dramatic. Dreamy. Deeply forest-core.

Feeling a little jelly? Yeah. Thought so.
