Did you know some varieties of cacti turn red or purple? 🌵

This is caused by cool and dry conditions - it’s the plant’s way of responding to environmental stress.

Cacti contain a purple pigment called betalain, which they produce more of during times of stress! Increased betalain production can be expected with normal seasonal change or it could be a cry for help, depending on the severity of the stress. Either way, I wish I looked this beautiful under stress 😅

“We had the most fabulous session with Taylor. She was patient and gave great direction to my daughter who has never been professionally photographed. It was a dream for my daughter to have a downtown photoshoot for her high school graduation pictures. We were having a hard time finding a photographer to accommodate our location and time. Taylor was on board with no issue the moment I asked if she was willing to take on the project. She suggested sites for us, gave us the opportunity to pick a few of her suggestions and we went for it. She definitely made my daughter feel super special and her photos reflect it. I will 100% be referring her to anyone and everyone. Thank you for giving us the photos to remember a very special time in my daughters life. They are all so precious.”
