Taken years ago in Banff Provincial Park. Funny story, we actually locked the keys in the vehicle up there with it running! It was an ordeal getting in that car I’ll tell ya!

The biggest lightning show this region has seen in decades! Captured from a high vantage point over Sandpoint, Idaho after rushing to make it in time. As my head felt like it was to explode from the atmospheric changes suddenly my ear started to crackle. It was then I knew it was time to head back down the mountain!

I had been wanting storm images from this spot for years, but it had never panned out. This time the storm moved in a different direction, and I was able to capture it over Lake Pend Oreille before it got to me!
