I think I’m going to start a client-appreciation series.

This first one will have to go out to the Sumner family. An incredibly talented and beautiful family of humans who have been there for me since day one. Not only do they trust me to capture important moments for their family but I’ve been fortunate enough to call them friends. (They also are responsible for around 33% of my clientele. Whatever I did to make them happy to give me stellar recs to friends I’m not messing with it).

Just need to convince them to come skiing and/or mountain biking with me to let our friendship come full circle. Nicole and Ben, thank you for everything.

Awesome humans doing awesome things for others. The happiness on everyone’s face just speaks for itself. My work doesn’t get much easier than that.

If you haven’t seen, heard, or looked into HomeAid Utah, Serving Salt Lake County Utah, or Salt Lake County and what they’re all working together to accomplish for those in need in Utah, I highly recommend doing so. Collectively they use local resources to find needs within the community and give back to it in ways that are so inspirational.

Utah.

Relocating my business to a new state had it ups and downs. But after many positive pursuits I am so thankful for what Utah has offered me in return. All the beautiful people that immediately welcomed me and trusted me to capture moments that are so important to them will always be a highlight of my career.

I have been lucky enough to develop so many incredible relationships in this amazing place and for some reason people like here continue to trust me with important moments with their career aspirations and business pursuits.

Why all these incredible humans out here continue to ask me to come back I have yet to truly figure out. Maybe it’s because they feel bad for me. 😂

Down to the River

April I must’ve had 20 senior sessions. I still laugh getting indirectly told by one that some poses in my work were too millennial. So like the competitor I naturally am, I had to prove them wrong (despite being a total millennial) and try to get creative with posing so much more. Easily the hardest part of this gig that seems to always be a moving target year after year.

(Don’t worry, that senior ended up obsessing over the sneak peek. 🫶🏼)

Jokes aside, it is a humble reminder that you always have room to grow in this life and to take those opportunities to embrace change and adjust. Hannah here crushed it and was an exception to my newfound curriculum having all the beautiful poses ready to go. Also a perfect reminder to NOT BE AFRAID TO GET IN THE WATER. 🦦

To all my photographers out there what are your thoughts on posing and how do you find rhythm / variety in knowing what to do?
