If you could pick any season to have family photos done in, which season would it be? It’s so hard for me to choose! Fall leaves are amazing, but summer sunshine’s is unbeatable….and doing get me started on the spring flowers…gahhhh, it’s too hard to choose!

Some beautiful backlight and a quick photo of mom and dad. These two have 2 littles (so delightful)! But I always encourage couples to grab a few photos of JUST them. As with most photos…In 10 years you’ll appreciate that we did this. 🥰 time marches on faster than anyone realizes and these images trigger our forgotten memories.

I can so relate to this! When all your kids just need a little part of you, a squeeze and a love. In a few short years they won't need you like this....complete and uninhibited love. It's magical, and overwhelming and perfect and I hope YOU have a picture of it.

Remember I said a few posts back that I’ve been working on finding foregrounds that are interesting and meaningful. My goal was to find them anywhere I went to take pictures, even in the most mundane of places. It was harder than I expected it to be! On this particular evening I visited the North Shore in Oahu, HI. The beach, while beautiful, was short on interesting foregrounds for me to include. After a bit of wandering I found this mossy break that I thought caught the light of the setting sun nicely. I experimented with some slower exposures to get the movement of the ocean in the small pools that dotted the break. I was happy with a few images and if I can make myself sit down and edit them I’ll try to share!

Get outside friends! Even if it’s to wander your neighborhood!
